According to Sainsbury, up to 12 million people get married each year in China, resulting in an annual demand for at least 2 million diamond rings, compared to about 1.5 million rings in the US and fewer couples getting married since the 1960s.

To continue attracting more customers in China, Blue Nile has setup a customer service office and customer service call center in Shanghai.
